For improved visibility, you may adjust the text size, font and colours used within your own web browser.


Font Type & Size

These changes will ensure that that any fonts or text sizes within this site are ignored by your web browser.

Internet Explorer

Adjust text size

  1. Navigate to View within the browser menu.
  2. Choose Text size.
  3. Select the appropriate text size, for example Larger.

In Internet Explorer 7 or above, you may also use the Zoom tool in the lower right hand corner of your browser window.

Alter font type

  1. Navigate to Tools within the browser menu.
  2. Open your Internet Options window.
  3. Under History, choose Fonts.
  4. Select your preferred font.
  5. Within Internet Options choose Accessibility.
  6. Select Ignore font styles specified on web pages.
  7. Select OK.

Netscape

Adjust text size

  1. Navigate to View within the browser menu.
  2. Select Text Zoom
  3. Select your preferred percentage.

Alter font type

  1. Navigate to Edit within the browser menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Under Appearance, select Fonts.
  4. Use the Proportional drodown to select your preferred font.
  5. Ensure that the Allow documents to use other fonts is unticked.
  6. Select OK until you leave the Preferences menu.

Firefox

Adjust text size

  1. Navigate to View within the browser menu.
  2. Highlight Zoom.
  3. Select Zoom In as many times as necessary.

Alter font type

  1. Navigate to Tools within the browser menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select Main
  4. Under Fonts & Colors, select your preferred font.
  5. Under Advanced, ensure that Allow pages to use their own fonts… is unticked.
  6. Select OK until you leave the Options menu.

Colour of Text & Background

These changes should ensure that pages are displayed using your chosen colours.

Internet Explorer

  1. Navigate to Tools within the browser menu.
  2. Open your Internet Options window.
  3. Under History choose Colors.
  4. Change the text, background colour and/or the colour in which links appear.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Within Internet Options choose Accessibility.
  7. Select Ignore colours specified on Web pages.
  8. Select OK.

Netscape

  1. Navigate to Edit within the browser menu.
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Under Appearance.
  4. Under Preferences, navigate to Colors.
  5. Choose your preferred colours.
  6. Tick Use my chosen colours….
  7. Select OK until you leave the Preferences menu.

Firefox

  1. Navigate to Tools within the browser menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Under Content. Fonts & Colours, select Colours.
  4. Set your preferred colours.
  5. Ensure that the box labelled Allow pages to choose theor own colours… is unticked
  6. Select OK until you leave the Options menu.
