70 years old, professional ropeworker, now semi-retired, interested in sailors’ ropework, the tools of the rope and canvas working trades and ropemaking. Author of a number of books on knots & ropework, the latest in September 2016, Des Pawson’s Knot Craft & Rope Mats. With his wife Liz runs the Museum of Knots & Sailor’s Ropework.
