lanyard knots and turk's head knots galore
« on: May 09, 2019, 10:31:26 PM »
i went on a knot bender a couple of years ago and was obsessed with lanyard knots and one-strand / two-strand decorative knots... and paracord!

Quite the collection alana, thank you for sharing.

What's the next "bender"?

thanks SS,

and i've got no idea what the next binge is,
i would like to tie these on video, as i tie them as a series of loops - flat -rather than round a mandrel ...

Noticed the paper (tyvek?) versions.  Do you prototype in paper first?

sorry late reply,
i draw a flat sketch (example pic)
then tie it (sort of weaving, isn't it).

the paper one i tied as is,
but in subsequent goes, i tie with paracord then follow through / alongside with the paper strip, much easier
it's not tyvek, that'd be pretty cool though..? ... more durable
