http://igkt.net/sm/index.php?topic=4035.msg24106#msg24106It's probably just me, but I had some hard time find out how to tie this knot. It wasn't until recently I figured that the knot is actually identically when it's flipped up-side down.
So I decided to take some pictures using my humble webcam. Used Gimp image editor to edit the color of the images, so that only the part of the rope that is moving (change since last image) is have color.
I start with a cow hitch and continue from there.
It should be possible to start with a loose overhand knot, but haven't found a practical approach.
