The parent is well known, and probably has been tied by most members of this forum.

I don't know if it'd be considered well-known, but it looks like somebody's been twisting around a Perfection Loop that had an extra final wrap.

I'd say a three-twist timber hitch, with one of the hitches pulled down and around the loop around the running part, but not over the running part, then all rearranged to get the loops in the right direction.

Oh, by the way I was a bit wrong when I said this knot was well known, it is well known, but this variant is slightly less well known.

My guess is a Honda Knot (ABOK 1024) with a few more pass-arounds to lock in place. I like it and will have to put that one to memory.

Its Mikes "Double Tucked Perfection" dressed into an entirely different conformation and of course a different load distribution structure.

Any guesses as to which should be the stronger?
