   I do not like "offset" bends, but I believe this is only a vice of me, which can not be explained...  :) . If the bend can withstand heavy pulling when tied on HMPE, I guess it would be fine !

I don't particularly like offset bends either, but with dyneema, it seems you have got to go with what works.

   I wonder if it "works" very differently than the Sliding Cows bend presented at (2). So, if you plan to TEST your knot  :), please, compare it with the SC bend... We may learn something.

Tried the sliding cows on the same line a few times -- holds considerably better than the EDK, but does run, well before line failure.

All is not lost. I just tried two bull hitches instead of two cow hitches -- held like a champ with no slippage. I'll have to investigate this "bull bend" further.
