best knot for belt
« on: May 13, 2014, 02:38:46 PM »
anyone tried knotting with belts?

now I think the "Flat square knot ( M. B 29 ) is the best knot for belt.
or webbing tape?

after some practicing this "difficult" knot turns into an easy knot.

Hi Ruby.

Nice looking knot for sure.
I use thick and wide leather belts and can't ever see myself using this knot for trouser augmentation. I have to wonder how easy it will be to adjust for proper sizing. One might have to make some hardly visible, permanent markings to speed the tying.

I am going to try this in climbing webbing to see how it can perform as a bend for a sling. And if I can untie it easily enough after a hard loading.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

the knot knob is huge, but it's hollow, like a basket. maybe you can hide your diamond in it.
