Well, I missed a day of knot tying yesterday. Some things just can't be helped.  ;)

Today was much the same except that I tied a "Knot Development" and a "Constriction cam-action knot for sleeping bags, compression, camping." for personal evaluation.

Likewise missed a day of knotting thanks to a days driving with a sick hound.

Today I have spent in contemplation of the Johnson Hitch from Gene Johnson.  It would be nice to find a way of locking that first bight loop in place.  And the delightful little CamHitch and variations from Bushrag.  I wonder if it will live long enough to catch the name CamHitch or maybe even the Bushrag Hitch.  Both of these knots are wonderful examples of experimentation.

Perhaps Xarax's example of never being afraid to modify/adapt a knot is starting to catch on a little bit.  Of course, it can be dangerous, but without exploration where would we be?
