Elegant Loops

Hi All, I found out one of the twins bowlin that I have posted was Double splayed loop in the bight
Ashley Book of Knots  "ABOK # 1100"

   Why ? The loop shown at Reply#5 was fine. I would have followed the route from #6 to #5, and not the opposite... There is no difference in the degree of the "communication" between the two eyes at he two double loops- so why one would prefer #6 from #5 ?

   Clever - but it is not my cup of tea, because it is asymmetric - and almost all of the dozens of the double midline/TIB loops we already know ( and the many other we do not, but one can easily figure out ) are symmetric... See the one I have discovered just yesterday, buried in Knotting Matters :

   In the form presented, it is a single, one-eye loop, but one can easily tie it as a double loop, if one tucks half of the bight through the two loops in the one way, as it is done, and half in the other.

   Two bowlines sharing the same collar, like ABoK#1085.
