I've seen something similar before - there are several videos on how to draw Celtic knots such  as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0SdUwDNCqs&feature=related . It's something I keep meaning to use to try to draw a knot. Taking aspects of both methodologies I wonder if it's possible to produce a tutorial on drawing knots?

My kids clamour to watch the new Vihart whenever one appears.   8)

Of course, it's possible to produce a tutorial.  Note also, that the open source vector drawing program Inkscape has a knot drawing mode.

I appreciate the links and will probably have a go but although I have used computers for years sometimes - like writing a letter with a fountain pen rather than a keyboard - I like to go back to the antedigital age. It's a bit like tying knots, a craft and relaxation versus cable ties and velcro. I was thinking more of a printed tutorial for those who either don't want to use a PC (or feel unable to do so) or want to create something hand crafted with a good old pencil and paper. Might even encourage some material for KM!
