Possible new knot
« on: March 29, 2006, 11:59:34 AM »
Many years ago I devised a knot to solve a problem I had. I suspect it is'nt new but I have never seen it in any books. Who could tell me and who should I show it to?

If you have a way to post the knot here, in photos or diagramswith a describtions, we can give you our opinion. Not definite but many of our members are specialists in their part of knot tying.
But if you do post here, all the world can see, which may not be what you want.

If you want you can also, or instead, send it to the International Guild of Knot Tyers, who have formed a committy to see all the (claimed) new knots, it may take a while though.

I think the best way to get it to the committy is sending it to the secretary,

Hi Philip,

Have a go at being the first person to use the new Wiki  - Name that knot  at http://igkt.pbwiki.com/Name%20That%20Knot

log in with your name and email and use the password igkt

You can upload images of the knot and add as much description of tying, dressing, use, advantages and disadvantage that you know of.

If you have any problems using a Wiki then email me and I will take you through using it.
