Anyone have a good knot for adding spring to an otherwise static line?

Thanks.

Try a sennit of some kind. Crowning works. Of course, the material used will affect the characteristics.

For what purpose and what kind of material?

I'm hanging a system board for training purposes with approx 9mm static line and I want to add some stretch so the whole thing isn't very stabile, thus training stability muscles.  I could buy springs, but I like knots and ropework too much to succumb to that temptation.

Here's a thought: Use a Zipper Sinnet made with the cord of choice. No need to use two cords as in this video > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUBTRs7Avk0
I just tried it out using some BlueWater 8 mm and it adds a little "elasticity".

Let me know if this is good for you.

Thanks Scott - seems like that might work.  I'll try it out tomorrow and let you know.
