I tried that, and it increases friction of the smaller line around the end of the larger one, effectively making the latter a fulcrum that will twist when the knot is loaded. This does not occur to the same extent in the original knot or when the doubling is made as in the pictures shown here. So when there is a full round turn more in that fashion, the knot distorts greatly. I don't know whether it is significant to strength or security, but I find it ugly.
