two strand stopper knot with tutorial
Based on diagram in "Decorative Knotting" by Peter Owen
The two strand makes a simple lanyard knot in one color as seen in the second from the left zipper pull. It can also be used to go with an already tied knot as seen in the outer examples. It is also attractive when tied in contrasting colors.

Bring right hand cord up in a loop.

Bring left hand cord up through the loop, around and up through the loop again.

Bring left hand cord down and up through the loop.

Bring right hand cord around and up through the loop.

Grab the two cords together at each side and slowly pul them apart. You will probably see a separartion like this (top photo). Push the strands together (botttom photo).

Do the same on the other side.

Once the strands are in place grab the two blue strands and pull in opposition, repeat for the grey strands.

i also noticed that this is in effect - possibly - a 3 line 4 bight turks head knot going u2 o2, using two strands. .. very nice knot when using one strand version :)
