Hello!

I've been having trouble with tying this Grommet.

Does anyone have a technique to tie one on a mandrel?

I've been to Knotworkin's site, and still get lost.

I've tried the technique in G. Budworth's book on Decorative Knotting.

As well as the technique on the Knots Made Easy DVD...

Just can't seem to get it.

Any help or hints or tutorials would be appreciated!

Does the number of turns (4 per the instructions) matter as the number of times to cross on the return?

If you use more turns, does this make the circumference larger?

Just joined the forum, these are my favorite knots to make. The more turns the larger the circumference and the smaller the string the more turns to make and equivalent circumference. It took me about a month of trying this knot to get it but once you do its easy. The transition is the most important part. Here are some examples.
