User name change?

Is there any chance of changing my user name?

I'm on many forums and alawys use the same name, "Essexman"

But when I tried to register with "Essexman" the forum software wouldn't allow it as it had the word "sex" in it !!!

So I had to put a space in to get it to work.

I don't mean to be a pain as a newbie, but it would be nice to be known by the same name as everywhere else.

It is the e-rotic aspect of "s[e]x" that raises alarm;
remove the "e", and one has . . . "SSXman" ?!  --or "S-Xman", "-SS-Xman"

--just a smile (hope) and a thought for an alternative,
if overriding the systems sensitivities isn't an option.

Cheers, yes I did laugh out loud when I worked out why I couldn't have my normal user name, you gotta love computers!

But I'm known as Essexman on many other forums, it would be nice to be the same here!

I've raised this with our webmistress - hopefully the software is not too rigid.

I've changed your displayed name but, for the moment, you'll still need to login using the original username - complete with space. Changing your username will mean resetting your password (an email will be automatically sent to sent to you with your new password details).
