Changing the Title of a Topic

Is it possible to change the title of a topic ?

If so how would I change the 'Lexicon of Knotology' to 'lexicon of Nodology'

Hey Derek,

Just my two cents worth, I don't have a problem with "KNOTOLOGY". Why obscure the Study even more than it has been? At least give it some time and for others to comment.
Thank You.

Hi alpineer,

Of course, point made.

I would be interested in hearing though how you feel that the study has already been 'obscured'.

The process of - Step 1.. Initial Proposal  --  Step 2 .. Explode options -- Step 3 .. Review and refine options,  can happen quite rapidly, with occasional re-iteration through steps 2 and 3, and even occasionally throwing out the whole lot and starting with a new Step 1 proposal.

It can be a wasteful process if you start off in the wrong direction, but it allows progress, vs the alternative whereby ideas are simply collected and discussed but never compiled into an actual working set of terms.  A forum is ideal for steps 1 and 2, but does not naturally lend itself to step 3 which almost has to be 'forced' onto the process - in this case, perhaps a little too fast.

Hello Derek,
I'm sorry. By "Study" I mean that in a very general sense, and was not directed at anyone or any process happening here. It's the proposed new name for the Study that just adds to that obscurity IMO. Obscurity re knots and their terminology has existed for a long time because of varying definitions for a single term. This thread will attempt to clean up some of that obscurity, I hope. If there ever is a time this could happen it is now, with the free exchange of information and ideas that this forum allows. Please continue. I'm listening with interest and hope to contribute to the process myself.

Only with great irony.
