spam email received

deckhandiana:
I have just received a spam email from someone in the Ivory Coast who said they got my email address from the IGKT website.  I am concerned that this person was able to access my email address for this purpose.  I can forward the email to you if you let me have a suitable email address to which I may send it.  (Mind you, it's a bit tempting to be offered the opportunity to invest 9 1/2 million US dollars!!!)

Diana.

I received that message too. It is kind of scary, isn't it. I also still have it on hand if one of you admins would like a copy.

I likewise received this spam.  Similar ones have come in the past, usually from Africa.  I am concerned that this references IGKT as being the source of the email address.

Mrs Glenys Chew:
Hello everyone,

I'm sorry I've not responded sooner, things have been more than unusually hectic this summer holiday.

I, too, received such an email, and so did a gentleman who is not currently a posting member.  The strange thing is that the email address he has given me in notifying it is not listed anywhere on this website.  Mel has been away for the last 2 weeks, she returns Friday, and I've asked her if she can track anything.  I have no doubt she'll be somewhat affronted if there has been a security breach, I know it is something she excels at.

No doubt she will update us here herself.

Regards

Glenys

skyout:
Can you tell us who the sender is in the email "From" box and what the subject title is.
I never even open mail on my personal pc unless I know who it is from.
