Book of Condolence
In Memory Of Ken Higgs
Ken Higgs, well known to many members, has sadly passed away. He had been ill for some time and finally lost the fight on 12th May 2010.
Another Old Matelot crosses the bar. Ken, your comradeship will be missed.

Glad I made the contact, brief though it was.
Frank Brown
My heart felt sympathy goes out to Ken's Family and friends at this very sad time. It was a real shock to be told of Ken's illness at the AGM in Weston, I had been really looking forward to seeing him again and chatting about Net Making; of which we both shared a great interest.
Ken: I look forward to meeting with you again in the sweet by and by, we still have un-finished business ;-) You will be sorely missed by one and all.
Barry Brown
My heartfelt condolences & deepest sympathy.

Thank you all for your kind messages and the letters/cards received from some of you as individuals. Dad's funeral service was yesterday and it was so nice to see Des and Liz Pawson there along with another member whose name, I'm very sorry to say, I didn't catch.
We were so glad to hear that some of Dad's work was taken by members at your recent AGM - a tangible memory of a lovely man. To one of your fellow members - Frank Brown - a special thank you for your kind emails. Frank, Dad's last few 'creations' were some of your animals which are all now safely in the family's keeping. To everyone in the Guild - he was "tying" right to the end, keeping the nursing staff enthralled with various knots in between their regular observation visits!
Once again please accept our heartfelt thanks for your messages of sympathy and for your friendship to Dad over the years.

Ken was always so generous with his knowledge, time and friendship. It was a privilege to have benefitted from all three things. He will be sadly missed

Ken as all of the messages say, you truly were a lovely man that it has been our great honour to know. Our thoughts are with Ken's family at this time.
